This project was a something no homeowners hopes to encounter. The property was purchased with an illegally built cottage on the lot that was ordered to be removed, which led to the redesign of a new home adhering to strict setbacks from the water, property lines and adding a legal septic on steep and irregular terrain. All while conforming to height and lot coverage regulations. The property on the south side of a lake, the structure naturally faces north, making light and energy efficiencies and heat loss a challenge. Step inside to be greeted by soaring vaulted ceilings, skylights and a view of the water from almost every window. Enjoy outdoor space at any time of day in shade, sun or rain.
